      Those who pre-register will receive express check in, which could save a lot of time!

 

You may register at the Tournament.  HOWEVER, IF YOU KNOW AT THIS TIME THAT YOU WILL BE GOING, PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUESTED.  This helps us to plan the divisions better and to run a smoother Tournament

 

LOCATION:  RIVERVIEW COMMUNITY CENTER, 405 WILLOW Dr., BAKERSFIELD, (OILDALE), 93308.  From Hwy 99, take Olive Dr East.  Turn right on Roberts Lane.  Cross Airport Dr and turn right on Oildale Dr.  Turn left on Willow.  If you get lost the day of the tournament, call 661 392-2020.  Only call this number the day of the tournament!

REFEREES:  Referees are always wanted, especially those from visiting schools.  If you are a Black Belt and volunteer to referee, you get receive a free lunch, and a free gift.

 

Karate tournaments are great in promoting confidence, self-esteem, courage, fun & good sportsmanship for all ages and all experience levels.  Our tournaments are designed to be a fun family event.  No contact to the face for any rank or contact below the waist is allowed.  Full contact is not permitted!  The Top Four in each Sparring Division will receive a Trophy.  The Top Three in other Divisions will receive a Medal.  

 

REGISTRATION AND SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

 

9:00 AM-9:45 AM            Registration/Check-in for all, even those who pre-registered.  This is for ALL BELTS AND ALL EVENTS.

 

 

9:15 AM-9:45 AM            Meeting for All Referees (if you wish to be a referee, please let me know ASAP)

 

 

10:00 AM                          Competition Begins!  Order of the Dragon Tournaments always start on time!

 

PLEASE NOTE:   In regards to Traditional Forms and Weapons competition, we call all competitors to one ring.  We will then sub-divide them into appropriate groups.  We do this simply because we never know what to expect on tournament day.

 

IT IS EACH STUDENTS RESPONSIBILITY TO BE IN THE RING WHEN CALLED.  STUDENTS ARRIVING AFTER

THEIR DIVISION STARTS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COMPETE AND WILL FORFEIT THEIR ENTRY FEE.

No Spectator Fees!  Bring the whole family!

 

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:  Karate uniforms are required.  Students participating in sparring must have their own hand pads (grappling/open finger style not allowed), mouthpieces, headgear, *groin cups (males) & footpads that cover your toes.  Sorry, Martial Art style Tennis Shoes are not allowed.  Absolutely no exceptions!  Shin Pads & Fore Arm pads are highly recommended.  *For safety reason, Failure to wear a Groin Cup for Males will result in automatic disqualification with no refund! 

All Sparring Gear will be available for purchase at the tournament.

Master Absher reserves the right to combine or eliminate divisions based on participation.

We also reserve the right to refuse service or entry to anyone and/or school.  No refunds.

Poor Sportsmanship on the part of the competitor or a representative of the competitor will lead to disqualification.

Coaching of any sort during the actual division will result in automatic disqualification.
